Baal Perazim! The Lord of the breakthrough

‘The One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their King will pass through before them, the Lord at their head. ‘

– Micah 2:13 [NIV]

Have you come across a hopeless situation? When life brings you right in front of a wall that’s difficult to scale and turning back is just not an option.

During times like this, everyone reaches out to God. Every heart pleads out to God for a breakthrough.

Are you today looking for a breakthrough? Maybe it's -

  1. In a relationship that has turned sour

  2. In a vocation where we feel stuck

  3. In academics where you find it difficult to measure up to set expectations

  4. In children’s life where nothing seems to be helping and we see them drifting apart further and further

  5. In our health where whatever we do, we feel like there is no relief coming.

  6. In our personal life where everything seems falling apart

  7. In our marriage where we are desperate to see a miracle

Life is hard and depressing if we don’t have a breakthrough.

Breakthrough is important to us so that we make progress in life and create an influencing and impactful life. This is the time to humble ourselves and pray.

Waiting for a breakthrough will not shatter you. It strengthens you, only If you let God be God.

When we pray for a breakthrough, we don’t lead the way.

We need to step aside and ask God to go before us. He shall prepare a way in the wilderness.

He is the Lord of the breakthrough. He is Baal Perazim. God parted the Red Sea for the Israelites to walk on dry ground. God made the walls of Jericho fall down. God made Goliath fall down flat.

Today, the world is looking for a breakthrough from COVID-19 spread.

There are many in faith standing up and praying diligently for the world to heal.

My toddler’s favourite song is ‘He’s got the whole world, in His hands’.

Every time she insists on me singing while she moves around her hand in action, I am amazed at what God is hinting at.

God’s got it! As a matter of fact, He’s got the whole world in His hands.
